We’ll have to watch for how well Paper.li compares to The Twitter Times, which looks not just at the people you follow but also the people who follow you and another level of followers beyond them.
They both have the advantage of being very focused on what interests you, presuming that you’ve picked your followers and followees with some care. Which is also the weakness – getting your news and tips from a group of only like-minded folks. So maybe you should not be so careful in your people picks.
It’s a balancing act. Perhaps it requires having multiple Twitter accounts with different levels of “follow,” or the ability to tailor which followers these apps use.
